Frequently asked questions.

Why should we choose your company over a national franchise? If the local franchise goes out of business, won't the national franchise still honor my warranty?

We understand the appeal of national franchises, but let us shed light on the key differences. National franchises primarily provide a jumpstart to new businesses, relying on their brand name and marketing campaigns. The work is often carried out by subcontractors, and the franchises themselves hold no responsibility if a local franchise fails. As an independent owner-operator, our company, Tubs R' Us, has thrived through many years of learning, development, and innovation. We take pride in the sustained growth we have achieved, and our hands-on approach ensures a superior product. We are your neighbors, committed to serving our community and standing behind our warranties.

Can you install a tubliner over my 1 piece fiberglass tub?

Unfortunately, one-piece tub/shower units cannot be lined due to the variety of molds used by manufacturers. However, we have great alternatives to offer! If your existing tub is damaged, we can refinish it and restore its beauty. Alternatively, we can remove the old tub and replace it with a new one, complete with our top-quality acrylic surrounds. Our team is here to help you find the perfect solution for your bathroom needs.

Can you install a tubliner over just my tub and not the tile walls around it?

While tub liners can be installed over just the tub, we do not recommend it. Even with the best installations, there is a high risk of water penetrating the seal around the tub, resulting in water getting trapped between the original tub and the tub liner. Many companies offering this service provide only a limited or no warranty due to these concerns. In such cases, we strongly advise refinishing the tub instead for a more reliable and long-lasting solution.

I've heard that you can't use a tub for 3 or 4 days after refinishing while it cures.

This is not true. Our refinishing products and those of any reputable refinisher are ready to be put back into service after 24 hours, the same as tubliner installations. Any product that takes longer to dry is a do it yourself hardware store remedy that is an epoxy coating. These products have very poor chemical resistance to normal cleaners and inferior adhesion. Think of if this way- would you expect a can of spray paint to hold up as well on the hood of your car as you would a professional paint job from an auto body shop?

I would like to refinish but I have tile that is outdated as well and it goes all the way around my bathroom. What can you do for that?

Tile can be refinished the same as your tub including all the way around the bathroom. All caulking is replaced with a paintable adhesive caulk so you have a seamless coating and best of all the porous grout is covered as well making it a breeze to keep clean. No more staining!
